National Level Examination

About OCAS NLE
  • NLE is a computer based exam conducted at independent test centres.
  • Students scoring 75% and above in the SLE are eligible for the NLE.
OCAS NLE Test Construct
  • The OCAS NLE test papers consist of a range of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) that focuses on subject wise topics.
  • For grade 1 to 5, the duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Each examination paper contains 30 questions, out of which 25 are based on Subject Knowledge and essential Academic Skills and 5 questions are based on Logical Reasoning.
  • For grades 6 to 8, the duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Each examination paper contains 40 questions, out of which 32 are based on Subject Knowledge and essential Academic Skills and 8 questions are based on Logical Reasoning.
  • For grades 9 & 10, the duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Each examination paper contains 50 questions, out of which 40 are based on Subject Knowledge and essential Academic Skills and 10 questions are based on Logical Reasoning.
  • Each question merits one mark.
  • The final score is a total of correct answers and no marks are deducted for wrong answers.
OCAS Report for Students
Student Achievement and Analytical Report (SAAR)

All participating schools get NLE SPAR.

SAAR specifies:

  • marks, percentage, ranks and percentile achieved by the student within the school, and at state and national level
  • comparison of the students marks with the average marks at the school, in state and at national level
  • the strengths and weaknesses of the student across the learning objectives
  • topic-wise performance analysis of the student
  • the correct answers to the questions, the answer given by the student and the percentage of correct answers given by the participating students at the school, in state and at national level
OCAS Report for Schools
School Performance and Analytical Report (SPAR)

All participating schools get NLE SPAR.

SPAR contains:

  • grade-wise performance summary specifying average marks of schools, in state and at national level
  • grade-wise standard deviation of school, in state and at national level
  • grade-wise student performance analysis in school, state and at national level
Terms and conditions for NLE Toppers and NLE School Topper
  • Prize money will be equally distributed if there are more than one NLE Topper at Rank 1, 2 and 3.
  • NLE School Topper is selected on the basis of highest percentage and percentile and shortest test completion time across all subjects and grades in each subject from each school.
