School Level Examination

About OCAS SLE
  • School Level Examination (SLE) is a paper based exam conducted at schools under proctored environment by school authorities.
  • Students of grades 1 to 10 are eligible for SLE.
  • Students scoring 75% and above in the SLE will qualify for the NLE.
OCAS SLE Test Construct
  • The OCAS SLE test papers consist of a range of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) that focuses on subject wise topics.
  • For grades 1 to 5, the duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Each examination paper contains 30 questions, out of which 25 are based on Subject Knowledge and essential Academic Skills and 5 questions are based on Logical Reasoning.
  • For grades 6 to 8, the duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Each examination paper contains 40 questions, out of which 32 are based on Subject Knowledge and essential Academic Skills and 8 questions are based on Logical Reasoning.
  • For grades 9 & 10, the duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Each examination paper contains 50 questions, out of which 40 are based on Subject Knowledge and essential Academic Skills and 10 questions are based on Logical Reasoning.
  • Each question merits one mark.
  • The final score is a total of correct answers and no marks are deducted for wrong answers.
OCAS Report for Students
Student Achievement and Analytical Report (SAAR)

All participating students get SLE SAAR.

SAAR specifies:

  • Marks, percentage, ranks and percentile achieved by the student within the school and other participating school.
  • Comparison of the students marks with the average marks at the school and of other participating school.
  • The strengths and weaknesses of the student across the learning objectives.
  • Topic-wise performance analysis of the student
  • The correct answers to the questions, the answer given by the student and the percentage of correct answers given by the participating students at the school and of other participating schools
OCAS Report for Schools
School Performance and Analytical Report (SPAR)

All participating students get SLE SAAR.

SPAR contains:

  • Grade-wise list of students who have qualified for NLE.
  • Grade-wise performance summary specifying average marks of schools and other participating schools.
  • Grade-wise standard deviation of school and other participating schools.
  • Grade-wise student performance analysis in school and other participating schools.
Terms and conditions for SLE Grade Topper Medals
  • SLE Grade Topper Medals and Rank Certificates are awarded if minimum 10 students participate from a grade.
  • Grade Toppers must score 75% and above to qualify for Medals and Rank Certificates.
